On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to express condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of Atlanta attorney Lauren Lynn Becker on her recent and very untimely passing.
As a criminal defense attorney who often represented indigent clients, Ms. Becker was well known for her exceptional legal skills and trial techniques. The representation of poor Georgians accused of crimes not only serves to protect the constitutional rights of the defendants, it is an absolutely essential part of protecting the integrity of the entire judicial system. Lauren Becker fulfilled that ideal through her exemplary professionalism for more than 30 years.
