In addition to the issues discussed in the first two parts of this series, there are two other significant email risks lawyers should consider. These are forwarded emails and inadvertent emails. Both share a common solution.

THE FORWARDED EMAIL

With the click of a mouse, an attorney’s email — containing privileged communications and legal opinions — can be forwarded to anyone at anytime, including non-clients. The risks are obvious.
