Justices of the Georgia Supreme Court were unanimous in resolving a workers’ compensation case that had split judges of the state Court of Appeals down the middle.

The high court upheld a 2002 precedent from the Court of Appeals that said employees who settle injury claims with employers cannot sue a co-employee for the injury, even if both sides agree in the settlement that the injury wasn’t compensable under the Workers’ Compensation Act.
