A judge in Atlanta has refused to seal a settlement in a federal wage and hour case, saying that to do so "thwarts Congress’ intent to insure widespread compliance" with fair labor standards laws.

Judge Richard Story of the Northern District of Georgia rejected a confidential settlement in a case against Don Pedro Mexican Food Inc.—owner of Don Pedro Taqueria restaurants in Lilburn, Norcross and Lawrenceville—and its owners, Margarita and Victorino Sanchez.
