The false arrest of a witness in a state ethics investigation of a Murray County magistrate judge last summer stemmed from the judges tip to a county deputy, lawyers for both have told the Daily Report.
Then-Murray County Magistrate Judge Bryant Cochran didnt tell Capt. Michael Henderson, who was Cochrans first cousin, how he came by the information that a car belonging to the states witness would be hauling drugs, Hendersons attorney said last week.
