The Georgia Court of Appeals has ruled that a lower court erred in ordering the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless out of the building housing its homeless shelter at the corner of Peachtree and Pine streets.

The appellate panel found that Fulton County Superior Court Judge Craig Schwall should have allowed the Task Force to present evidence concerning possible "irreparable harm" before he granted a dispossessory order to an investment concern that acquired the deed to the property in 2011 and has been seeking to evict the shelter for non-payment of rent.
