The pace of the nations economic growth may be hovering in the low single digits as the country continues to cover from the recession, but Alston & Bird has beat the odds for the past two year and boosted its revenue and net income by nearly 20 percent. Said Alston managing partner Richard Hays: Were told [our numbers are] materially ahead of our peer competitors. Still, the firms growth in partner compensation and revenue, while still healthy, did not grow at the same rates in 2012 as it had in 2011 when partners saw an average 24 percent boost and revenue grew 13 percent. To continue to increase revenue in what remains a flat market for legal services, Hays said Alston has continued to develop and expand practices where we see the greatest client need and client demand. So far, weve done a pretty good job of anticipating that demand.
