Not long ago, Carlton Fields could barely lay claim to the title of Southeastern regional law firm. It had one office in Atlanta and six in Florida. In October, it took a small step nationwide with the acquisition of Rosner & Napierala, a boutique law firm in New York City. After a small setback in 2011, the firm enjoyed a modest bump in revenue in 2012. David M. Leonard, managing partner of the Atlanta office, said, Real estate finance, health care and litigation will be the hot practice areas this year. Litigation will not likely heat up significantly but should remain reasonably steady.
