The Judicial Qualifications Commission chairmanwhose colleagues refused to accept his resignation as chairman last summerstepped down Thursday and handed the reins to two JQC colleagues, both former presidents of the State Bar of Georgia.
John Allen, chief superior court judge of the Chattahoochee Circuit in Columbus, announced his resignation at the agency’s monthly meeting, said JQC director Jeffrey Davis. Marietta attorney Robert Ingram, the commission’s vice-chairman, was unanimously selected to replace him, said Davis. Cartersville attorney S. Lester Tate III will replace Ingram as the JQC’s vice-chairman, he said.
