DeKalb County Superior Court has summoned tens of thousands more potential jurors in the past 12 months than in the year before.
There wasn't a sudden boom in jury trials, requiring more jurors. Instead, the DeKalb court called in more jurors to ensure enough people actually showed up for duty, said court administrator Cathy McCumber.
