A dispute between a DeKalb County judge and district attorney over a special purpose grand jury report concerning county CEO Burrell Ellis should have been relegated to a sideshow after Ellis was indicted by a separate, regular grand jury last month.

But the fight between DeKalb Superior Court Judge Mark Anthony Scott and DA Robert James remains heated. In court pleadings filed this week, James' deputy called Scott's arguments "erratic," "illogical" and "wildly irrational."
