The Murray County school district is seeking more than $9,000 from the parents of a teenager who lost a lawsuit claiming that their 17-year-old son killed himself because school administrators had failed to protect him from school bullies.
School district lawyers sought to recoup the costs after parents Tina and David Long lost their appeal last month of a 2012 decision by Judge Harold Murphy of the Northern District of Georgia that dismissed their case.
