Two Atlanta lawyers have won a $3.9 million verdict over a Virginia trucking accident that caused several broken bones and spilled Chinese food all over an Interstate highway.
The jury awarded $3,927,867 to the plaintiff on Feb. 7 after a weeklong trial and four hours of deliberation, according to the plaintiff’s lead counsel, Nelson Tyrone III of the Tyrone Law Firm. His co-counsel was Lloyd Bell of the Bell Law Firm. Their local counsel in Richmond was Dabney Carr IV of Troutman Sanders. They tried the case in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia before Judge John Gibney Jr.
