Public defenders are poised to receive most of the money on the wish list they gave to the General Assembly this session, but prosecutors and the state’s Judicial Council may not be as fortunate.

Both chambers and the governor have approved an amended budget for the remainder of the current fiscal year, which ends June 30. The budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015, has passed the House of Representatives and rests with the Senate, which is likely to make changes.
