At least one Fulton County Superior Court judge will face a challenger this year. Atlanta attorney Thomas Cox Jr. on Monday filed paperwork to run against Fulton Judge Thomas Campbell Jr. The election is scheduled for May 20.

Cox has been a partner at several firms, most recently Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith and Epstein Becker & Green. His work at those firms involved defending employment lawsuits and other corporate litigation matters, as well as representing management in regulatory matters. Cox’s LinkedIn profile says he left Lewis Brisbois in October and does not list current employment.
