A hot debate is expected on the House floor today between supporters and opponents of legislation that would protect online legal document companies like LegalZoom from unlicensed practice of law claims.

Senate Bill 209 states that creating and providing legal self-help materials online or in print shall not constitute an unlicensed practice of law violation “if such products clearly and conspicuously state that they are not a substitute for the advice of an attorney.”
