The four children of a 29-year-old East Point man killed in a construction accident at the Atlanta airport may be on the verge of collecting the remaining $4.5 million of a $5.5 million verdict they won in DeKalb County State Court in 2009.

The Georgia Supreme Court last month denied a defense petition for certiorari, ending a chain of appeals that had already reached the high court once before.
