The former CEO of a chain of Georgia day care centers has pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $2 million in funds from a federal program that provides meals for needy children, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia announced today.
Antonio Hurt, CEO of the Bright Star Early Learning Center, which operates and franchises daycare centers across the state, pleaded guilty to stealing funds from the U.S. Agriculture Department’s school lunch program, said U.S. Attorney Sally Yates.
