The Atlanta Legal Aid Society has won a $1.5 million gift from the Woodruff Foundation for its future home at 54 Ellis St. N.E.

Robbie Dokson of Ellis Funk announced the grant at the kickoff breakfast Wednesday for Legal Aid’s annual campaign, which he is cochairing with Bob Pennington of A. Montag & Associates. That pushes building fund gifts to $4.5 million—closing in on the $5.3 million target.
