The lawyer for a woman who with two men pleaded guilty of scamming elderly homeowners said a prison sentence amounting to time served was “as happy an ending as you’re going to get, considering where she started.”

Richard Otonicar, noted that client Helen Johnson received the lightest sentence of the three—one year imprisonment, five years probation and $900 in restitution.
