Emory University is among 55 colleges with open “sexual violence investigations” being conducted by the U.S. Education Department’s Office of Civil Rights, the Washington Post reported today. The Post said the list, released today by the Education Department, follows a report released earlier this week by The White House Task Force to Protect Students From Sexual Assault in an effort to prompt colleges and universities across the country to act to rein in campus sexual assaults.

Emory was the only Georgia school on the list.
