The ability of plaintiffs to bring wrongful death suits against mental health professionals was at stake when the Georgia Supreme Court heard arguments on Monday.
The case involves Michael and Lisa Landry’s exploration of potential medical malpractice claims over the death of their son, Christopher Landry. His parents say that in order to prepare a potential claim against their son’s psychiatrist, they need the records of their son’s treatment.
