An Atlanta entertainment firm founded by local attorney Daniel Meachum is suing to stop a deal that would allow Tyler Perry to build a studio on property that once housed the Fort McPherson Army installation.

The suit, filed Thursday in federal court in Atlanta, seeks more than $1 million in damages from Perry, Tyler Perry Studios, the McPherson Implementing Local Redevelopment Authority (MILRA)—which is spearheading the redevelopment of the now defunct Army base—and several federal agencies.
