With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Jane Barwick has been elected Fulton County’s newest Superior Court judge, handily defeating Shelitha Robertson for an open seat on the court by 62.56 percent to 37.44 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s runoff, according to vote totals reported on the Georgia secretary of state’s website.
It was the first campaign for Barwick, 60, a part-time Fulton County magistrate and Family Court hearing officer. She has served as in-house counsel for Atlanta Habitat for Humanity and also oversaw her own solo practice. Prior to that, Barwick worked as a commercial litigator at Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers and Hurt, Richardson, Garner, Todd & Cadenhead.
