Jennifer Auer Jordan’s combination of smarts and small-town sensibility may give her a leg up as a trial lawyer—although it remains to be seen whether she’ll parlay that into a political career.

Jordan grew up in Dodge County, about an hour south of Macon. Her mother was a hairdresser, and her father, now deceased, was a career military man.
