Regarding the letter to the editor, “Ralston’s ‘Disappointment’ Raises Concerns” (Daily Report, online Aug. 11, in print Aug. 12), it reminded me a little bit of the Queen in “Alice in Wonderland,” who announces, “Sentence first, verdict afterwards.”

Fortunately, the disciplinary process of the State Bar of Georgia affords members much more due process than was afforded in Wonderland. Having served on both the Investigative Panel and the Review Board, I know the safeguards that are in place not only protect the public but also ensure due process to Georgia lawyers. Were the shoe on the letter writer’s foot, I am confident he would want at least that.
