Solo practitioner Carter Allen bought his first road motorcycle on his 40th birthday, although he has been riding dirt bikes since he was a teenager.
“Without telling my dad, I bought [a dirt bike] in high school,” says Allen. “I stored it at a friend’s girlfriend’s garage.” Not long after, his father discovered his purchase, he says.
