Federal prosecutors in Atlanta have filed criminal charges against longtime DeKalb County Commissioner Elaine Boyer, who resigned Monday from the seat she has held since 1992.
The criminal information, signed by U.S. Attorney Sally Yates and filed in lieu of a grand jury indictment, charges Boyer with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and wire fraud.
