An attorney for a teenage boy who was shot by a police officer is petitioning the full U.S. Court of Appeals of the Eleventh Circuit to overturn a ruling giving the officer immunity.

Atlanta attorney Craig Jones has petitioned the court to rehear the case en banc and reconsider whether Fulton County police officer Benjamin Griggs should be allowed to sidestep liability for shooting the then-16-year-old after the youth surrendered and dropped to his knees.
