As data breaches continue to make headlines, with the massive Home Depot breach as the latest example, Jones Day has recruited data security and privacy practitioner Todd McClelland as a partner from Alston & Bird.

McClelland said that a year ago his practice was almost exclusively advising companies on what do when a breach is discovered, but he’s increasingly being asked to help clients guard against potential breaches.
