Georgia lawyers Mike McGlamry and Kirk Pope this week represented nearly 250 of the 3,000 people who settled claims over problems with hip replacements for an expected $1 billion-plus.

According to a release from the firm, the agreement was reached after four months of negotiations between New Jersey-based Stryker, which manufacturered the modular Rejuvenate or AQBG II implants, and recipients of the devices who’ve experienced metal poisoning and other adverse events.
