On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to offer condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of attorney Guy E. Davis Jr. of Sandy Springs on his recent passing.

During his distinguished career of more than 40 years in the legal profession, attorney Davis served as a Fulton County assistant district attorney before entering private practice, where he focused on the areas of criminal, family, product liability, tort and insurance law. He was also active in the political arena and was the Republican nominee for governor in 1986. Before becoming an attorney, he had served in the Army and as an Atlanta police officer and investigator with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.
