Jane Barwick was elected to the bench in July, defeating opponent Shelitha Robertson in a race to fill a vacancy left by the departure of Judge Cynthia Wright, who did not seek reelection.
Barwick is a 1979 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law. Her father was an attorney, and her older brother, William Barwick, a partner at Duane Morris, is a past president of the State Bar of Georgia. Another brother, Milton Barwick, served in the Fulton County solicitor’s office and as Roswell municipal solicitor.
