A Cobb County judge has tossed a suit accusing CBS 46 and Channel 2 Action News of libel in their reporting on a plastic surgeon whose license was suspended following the deaths of two patients in 2013.

Dr. Nedra Dodds, who ran a plastic surgery center in Kennesaw, was suspended by the Georgia Composite Board of Medical Examiners last February. The board’s investigation into the deaths of two patients and two other nonfatal cases concluded that Dodds’ treatment fell below the standard of care and posed a “threat to the public health, safety and welfare.”
