A federal prosecutor and a federal agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives who were apparently having an affair are under investigation by the U.S. attorney in Augusta in connection with allegations that they sought to obtain an illegal visa for an informant, The Augusta Chronicle reported Monday.
The judges of the Southern District jointly signed an order on Friday directing U.S. Attorney Ed Tarver to submit a list of every case on which Assistant U.S. Attorney Cameron Ippolito had collaborated with ATF Special Agent Lou Valoze, according to the Chronicle.
