A Dunwoody investment adviser who was extradited to the U.S. after fleeing to Thailand faces federal charges of defrauding more than 70 investors of $3 million, the acting U.S. attorney in Atlanta announced this week.
Andrew Avery, 39, has been charged with mail fraud and wire fraud stemming from his operation of NDA Financial—an investment company with three offices in metro Atlanta—and the Magnolia Real Estate Fund. Avery is in custody and no attorney has issued a notice of appearance on his behalf. He was arraigned Wednesday in Atlanta.
