A U.S. Army veteran has been indicted by a grand jury in Columbus on charges that he accepted bribes from Afghan truck drivers at a U.S. base in Afghanistan, the U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Georgia announced Friday.

Army Specialist Anthony Don Tran, 28, was indicted March 10 on charges of participating in a bribery conspiracy and bribery of a public official, U.S. Attorney Michael Moore said.
