A DeKalb County nightclub owner has pleaded guilty to bribing a former member of the county zoning board to secure a variance that would have allowed his Tucker pool hall to operate as a nightclub, the acting U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia announced Thursday.
Ismail Sirdah on Thursday pleaded guilty to one count of bribery stemming from his payment of $2,000 in cash to former county zoning board member Jeremy “Jerry” Clark. Sirdah also made a $1,500 donation to a nonprofit organization with which Clark was involved. In return, Clark voted to approve Sirdah’s petition for the zoning variance.
