The former manager of janitorial services for DeKalb County and the Georgia World Congress Center has pleaded guilty to charges that he used his position as a public official for his own benefit while working simultaneously for both the county and the center, the acting U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia announced Thursday.
Patrick Jackson, 56, of Loganville, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit honest services fraud, acknowledging that for six years he simultaneoulsy held full-time posts both as the manager of janitorial services for the county and for the World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta without the knowledge of either organization, federal prosecutors said.
