A Tifton woman lost her bid to recover damages for a back injury and $48,600 in medical bills she claimed was caused by a low-speed collision in Gwinnett County.

The trial in March was held in the Superior Court of Jackson County because the defendant, Amanda Wittmer, lives there. The jury took 25 minutes to reach a verdict in Wittmer’s favor, according to her attorney, Nikolai Makarenko Jr. of Groth & Makarenko in Suwanee.
