A defense attorney is attempting to force a court reporter to provide a free digital copy of a trial transcript, which he said is mandated by new rules of the Judicial Council of Georgia.
“This affects the entire criminal defense bar and all court reporters,” said Jackie Patterson of the Patterson Firm, which handles traffic citations, driving under the influence and other criminal cases.
