Two lawyers are among the four candidates who have qualified for the open state House seat in District 24.

All four candidates are listed as Republicans and vying to replace Rep. Mark Hamilton, a Republican from Cumming and chairman of the House Industry and Labor Committee. He announced earlier this month that he was stepping down to take a job outside of Georgia. Qualifying for the seat ended at noon on Wednesday.
