Fulton County Deputy Attorney Jerolyn Ferrari has been appointed interim county attorney, filling the top job at the Law Department left vacant by the departure of R. David Ware, who stepped aside last month.

Ferrari said she doesn’t know how long she will be in charge of the department “The [board of commissioners] made the appointment while they search for a new county attorney,” she said. “There’s no hard and fast time-frame; the position will be open until it’s filled—that’s the way they’re recruiting it.”
