A federal appellate panel in Atlanta has upheld a district court judge who refused to force the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to lift its firearms ban at Lake Allatoona and other Corps-managed properties.

In an opinion issued Tuesday, U.S. Circuit Judge Stanley Marcus rejected what he described as “a single sweeping argument” by a Georgia gun rights group claiming the Corps regulation “completely destroys their Second Amendment rights.”
