An Atlanta law firm on Tuesday was at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit defending a win of nearly $1 million against a former client who refused to pay a bill for legal fees in full.

Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn & Dial sued an aviation parts client in 2012, seeking $642,665 in unpaid legal fees, plus interest. The fees case stems from a Gwinnett County wrongful death suit that resulted in a $1.7 million verdict against Weinberg Wheeler’s client, Continental Motors.
