Lawyer Millard Farmer has asked a federal judge to dismiss a civil racketeering suit against him, contending it was intended to sideline a client’s efforts to regain custody of her two children and to punish him for helping her.

In his dismissal motion, Farmer also revealed that when John Murphy and his current wife filed a civil racketeering complaint against him in May, the Murphys’ Atlanta attorney also filed a formal complaint against Farmer with the State Bar of Georgia.
