McKenna Long & Aldridge’s long-awaited merger with global megafirm Dentons took effect Wednesday, the two firms announced.

McKenna is becoming part of Dentons US, the U.S. branch of the megafirm, which is structured as a Swiss verein with separate regional entities and profit pools. The Dentons US equity partnership voted in favor of the combination April 8, after McKenna’s equity partners had approved the deal.
