On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime Atlanta attorney Rawson Foreman on his recent passing.

During his distinguished career, which began in 1965, Mr. Foreman was a partner in the Atlanta firm of Alston & Bird and served as president of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, which provides civil legal services to persons who cannot afford an attorney. He received a Community Service Award from the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change and was president of the Atlanta Preservation Center and Midtown Alliance.
