A former DeKalb County judge has asked three members of the state’s judicial watchdog agency to recuse from her trial on charges she violated the state’s code of judicial conduct, saying the members are witnesses she intends to call to combat the allegations.

Attorneys for former Superior Court Judge Cynthia Becker filed the motion to recuse Lester Tate, chairman of the state Judicial Qualifications Commission, and two of the remaining six commission members: Fulton State Court Judge Patsy Porter and Statesboro lawyer Jimmy Franklin.
