The executive director of the National Association of Airline Passengers on Thursday embraced a decision by a federal judge to proceed as a class action against Delta Air Lines and AirTran Airways over alleged price-fixing of baggage fees.
“Nobody likes these bag fees,” Douglas Kidd said Thursday. “Charging for bag fees is really not something we are in favor of and we think is unreasonable on the part of the airlines. … We don’t agree with that pricing model, a la carte pricing. … But the airlines are pretty much dancing to the tune of Wall Street.”
